Welcome back
I wanted to tell you all how successful our on site sales went last weekend.
We had a tremendous turn out and want to thank everyone who help support our sale.
We got a chance to meet so many wonderful people that wanted to share our love of lilies with them. We had this young couple wanting to fill a spot in their yard and it gave us great joy to
be able to guide them through this new experience, from the type of lily to the soil and how the bulb should go in the ground. Many people get intimidated over lily for they only see them in floral arrangement and they look so delicate. Well they are very hardy and do well in our environment.
Lilies are much like a tulip bulb but the bloom times are much more varied then a tulip.
We have many people ask us when the lilies will bloom. They will bloom from May to August. The Day lilies will bloom repeatedly through the late spring and summer. When most flowers are done blooming the day lilies and roses are still going strong at the farm. Day lilies are such a wonderful accent to the garden and I have found them to be a wonderful staple to the garden beds.
Its a rainy Saturday here on the farm so we are all trying to find dry indoor chores to get us through this spring. Our lily beds are being filled with the new "kids" as we call them. They are the starts we got off the mother bulb and we are just now finding they are large enough to get them out in the big wide world.
Well I better get to my chores.
Mean while back @ the farm
